Technical Writer (Software)

Mid Level

Work closely with our user experience team, user interface designers, product owners, project managers, and product development teams.
Create, edit and proofread users' manuals and product documentation in English.
Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts.
Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation.
Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content.
Manage updates and revisions to technical literature.
Support product design by collaborating on customer research activities.

Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking.
Able to work with authoring tools and technologies efficiently.
Able to learn and articulate complex concepts and ideas.
Able to adapt quickly and work successfully in an evolving and culturally diverse environment.
Experience working in an agile software development environment (must provide a portfolio of relevant work).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Experience with REST APIs and JSON responses is a plus.
Hold a degree in a field where you have proven the ability to present technical content with clarity and impact such as Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Writing, English, or Communications.
Demonstrate experience in documenting APIs and have experience with common web services and API architecture.
Proven experience working in a technical writing position; Software development documentation experience.
